Junior Coach Application!
My name is Elizabeth Winter and I am excited to return for my third season as the Head Coach for the Jambalaya Park Pool Dolphins Swim Team! I am a student at Franciscan University pursuing Nursing with the ultimate goal to be a Family Nurse Practitioner. I am also minoring in Professional Communications and Psychology. In 2019, the Dolphins placed 1st in our division at the City Championship meet. We also received the honor of the Al Robelot team quality award. For three years, I was the Assistant Coach for the Pelican Point Waves, as well as practicing as a swim trainer for many years prior to that. In that time, the Waves placed first in their division two consecutive years under the coaching of my sister and myself. I swam with the Dolphins from 2004-2010 and enjoyed every second! I swam with the Waves from 2011-2018 and also loved the team. I swam with Tiger Aquatics for 4 seasons, and I was a 4-time state championship qualifier with multiple top-three finishes. I’m excited to return for my third season as Head Coach with new ideas and energy to make the team
My name is Justin Chase, and I will be coaching for my 3rd year in a row with the JPP Dolphins! I’m am currently a student at LSU studying Computer Engineering. I also swam year-round for about 5 years with Tiger Aquatics, and have swam with both the Pelican Point Waves and JPP Dolphins since I could remember. Sadly, I will be finishing my last year of eligibility this summer, but I am very excited for a great year with the team!
Cody Hurst is a Senior at Dutchtown High School. He’s been swimming competitively since he was 5 years old. Cody swam for the Pelican Point Waves, the Gonzales Dolphins, and Tiger Aquatics, receiving numerous awards and breaking records throughout the years. He also swam on the Dutchtown High School swim team for his entire high school career and participated in the last two LHSAA state swimming meets. He is excited for the promising season ahead and can’t wait to help take the team to the top!
